"Introspection", "staring within", and "nighttime isolation" was the theme of the evening with art images of vacant streets, empty spaces and solitary figures in silhouettes under lamppost shadows adorning the white walls. The night featured drawings and paintings by Le Gallo & Cournoyer, the latter of which will be celebrating his first exhibition in ten years. The main event of the evening was their performance of live-painting layered over video projections. The projections, shot by Le Gallo, were video portraits of interesting characters whose thoughts and settings will be rendered by hand within and around his subjects. Guest artists included Nathan Spoor and Chandler Wood. When asked about his thoughts on the upcoming show Cournoyer merely quoted Arlo Guthrie “You can’t have a light without a dark to stick it in”. The addition of complimentary libations and a who's who crowd further proved to be a vivid and momentary break-from-the-holidays event.
